Modi created the first Buddhist state in India

Prime Minister Modi announced last week that the new administrative unit of Ladka Ladakh, which comprises two districts in the Jammu and Kashmir state, adjacent to the Himalayas of India, will be inaugurated as a new state from October 31st.

The Indian Prime Minister's party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), won a landslide victory in the recently concluded elections to the Ladakh Buddhist community, which is about 22,000 square miles the size of Sri Lanka (25333).
